Night Bard is a mysterious figure in Ravenwood, Maine with very strange gothic dreams. He is rarely seen except in dire circumstances. Night Bard has knowledge of the supernatural which aides him to warn those in danger. His warnings usually fall on deaf ears and then he has no choice but to fight those supernatural creatures which haunts Ravenwood. Night Bard has been known also to aid some of those very same creatures. His motives are often in question and perhaps that is why so few heed his warnings.
What is known of Night Bard is that he possesses strange occult powers. His uncanny power to sense supernatural danger has been very helpful to those who heed his warnings. When in battle, Night Bard has been known to use arcane magical abilities. Some people that he has befriended say that he is powerful warlock while others claim that he is a vampire. Night Bard has the power to dematerialize so objects can pass through him which makes some wonder if he is indeed a ghost.
When he is employing his magical abilities, he always recites a verse relating to the spell he wishes to cast. A sample Night Bard verse may go as follows:
"By the Hounds of Hell,
Night Bard has befriended Professor Samual Newton of Ravenwood University several times. He has also helped the Master Vampire of Ravenwood against vigilante vampire hunters. The local police department consider Night Bard to be a borderline monster hunter. Ordinary citizens are unaware of him until he appears before them to warn of forcoming danger. When Night Bard does appear, supernatural creatures are not far behind.
Begone from your mortal shell."
